TORNADO DAY IN COLORADO.......

Gosh...what a day. Although the tornado activity took place about 75 miles or so from me......it seemed to consume my day, as I was glued to the continuous local coverage and the coverage on CNN. Not good, especially for the town of Windsor. It appears that most of the damage and destruction was in that area, and there are many pictures on the internet if you care to find them, and share in the pain of my fellow Colorado residents. As far as I know, there was one human death, and many deaths of cattle and other animals. The force of wind is hard to comprehend. Today in Colorado reminded me of a few years ago in Texas, when the tornado hit Jarrell. My prayers and thoughts are with those affected by the events of the day.

Glad to see you're OK Trudy. I've seen the news here about the terrible destruction in Windsor. My prayers go out to them too.
Take care,
Martha

Thanks for the nice comments, and gosh.....the power of nature. We have lived in the area only 3 years and a bit now....and for whatever reason I had felt relief from the violent weather that whips thru Texas, without realizing the same stuff happens here!! Thank you for visiting, ladies, and thanks to all who are keeping the tornado victims of Colorado and Wyoming in their prayers and thoughts. Hugs, Trudy

Trudy, I just found out last week that my nephew was caught in the tailend of this tornado. It picked up his truck, flipped it over and threw Brian out - thank the Lord he was fine and unharmed.... a real miracle coming from someone who knows Tornadoes all too well here in KC!

Thanks for visiting, ladies! Gosh, Cookie....glad your nephew was okay. The Windsor area has been suffering from lots of rain and more bad weather since the tornado hit. But your area gets even worse weather, I believe!! I heard on the news a couple days ago that Colorado gets MORE HAIL STORMS than any other part of the country!! WILD!! Blessings to all those in bad weather across our nation. Sincerely, Trudy
