THE EAGLE HAS LANDED!!!!

What a wonderful surprise this morning, while taking a short drive after breakfast!! Not far from home we came upon a regal bald eagle, sunning himself on a rock outcropping in a field. How lucky were we!! He sat there a long time, and I am hoping to find him there again another time!! Maybe this is a nesting rock for Mr. and Mrs. Eagle!! Wouldn't that be fun!!!!????

Trudy, you sure do come up with amazing shots of birds. I liked the crow photos you took too and so nice to have seen a bald eagle. I saw one in her nest in Minnesota when I was on a walk. I have a lot of hawks, eagles, mourning doves and shore birds where I live. Take care. ~Martha

Thank you for visiting again, Heidi and Martha!! I have learned since posting that the bald eagle doesn't usually nest down in the 6,000 foot areas...so guess it was probably a one time chance!! Wish I had been able to get a closer shot of him!! We have the golden eagles nesting around here in the rocky cliffs, but I guess not the bald eagles. Thank you again for visiting!! Hugs, Trudy
